Airvana: a breathwork coaching platform
Airvana is a breathwork coaching platform that reads a pulse oximeter over Bluetooth. We designed and built the React Native app, its brand and packaging.

What was the problem?
Advanced Breath Coaching ran its breathwork coaching in person, with no digital tools. A session depended on the coach being in the room with the client.
Our goal was to take guided sessions into an app and base them on what the client's body is doing, measured live by a pulse oximeter. The app is for a closed group of clients, so access had to be tied to the coach.
What we delivered
Our role: app, brand and packaging
We designed and developed the full React Native app, including the Bluetooth connection to the pulse oximeter. Around the app we did the UX and UI, web design, email templates, the logo and the product packaging. The work ran from November 2024 to March 2025.
Clients get access by buying a pulse oximeter from their coach. Much like an Oura ring or a Whoop band, the device brings out the full potential of the app.
How Airvana works
• Access: the client buys a pulse oximeter from their coach, which opens the app for them.
• Connection: the oximeter pairs with the app over Bluetooth.
• Readings: oxygen levels and breathing patterns are tracked in real time.
• Sessions: guided breathwork, developed with coaches, adapts to the client's medical readings while it runs.
• Packaging: printed boxes for the oximeter and for Airvana's custom nose strips.
Two decisions that shaped the product
Guidance that stays quiet during a session
A breathing session is close to meditation, so the interface must not compete for attention. We used animation and UI cues to lead the user through the app and through each session. The aim was an app that is intuitive without ever becoming overwhelming in the middle of a session.
A calm packaging palette that still reads as neutral
For the boxes we chose sunset tones and burgundy to suit Airvana's female audience, while keeping the brand neutral and high end. We handled the whole job: box structure, dieline and print design. The boxes have been manufactured.

Questions about Airvana
Who built the Airvana app?
UPRIVE, a product studio in Budapest. We designed and developed the React Native app for Advanced Breath Coaching and created the logo, web design, email templates and packaging.
How does Airvana connect to the pulse oximeter?
Over Bluetooth. The app reads the oximeter in real time and adapts the guided session to the readings.
Why does Airvana need a pulse oximeter?
The oximeter opens up the full app, much like an Oura ring or a Whoop band. Clients buy it from their coach, and that is also how they get access.
What did the Airvana packaging include?
Boxes for the pulse oximeter and for custom nose strips. We did the structure, the dieline and the print design, and the boxes have been manufactured.
